Amrut Two Indies Rum
Sipped neat it splits people: a few catch red cherry, pineapple and a creamy marshmallow note over light wood, and one taster would "blind set it in Jamaica" for the esters. Others find the nose perfumey and the palate a touch artificial and sweet. Kevin found it does really well in a cola with lemon and orange, so mixing is a fair bet at this 42.8%.

#5244 12.04.2025 Running some samples at home while relaxing a bit. Nose Light wood, light burnt, floral, light caramel, faint banana, light orange. . Palate Light bitter, light wood, roasted, light orange, light caramel, light sweet, light citrus, spice, light spicy. Finish Medium, light wood, dried fruit, light citrus, light caramel, light spicy. Empty glass Vanilla, citrus, floral. Does really well in a cola with a slice of lemon and orange.

Got this as a sample along with an order of very good rum. The nose was faint at first and irritated me, it smelled like perfume, a bit artificial and flowery, along with the alcoholic scent. A bit fruit as well. Tastewise its sweet, a bit artificial tasting, but that may also be the style of the region. I doubt, however, this has not been "improved" to fit a certain taste - unfortunately not mine.

the first sip was really off-putting, kind of gamy. after that it was fine. Very dry and fruity, with noticeable esters and spicy notes, which reminds me of Jamaica. Overall not convinced

Pretty sweet and spicy. I didn't expect much from the bottle, but out of curiosity I ordered

Surprisingly good Indian Rum. Would I blindly put in Jamaica!
Review by Gregor
Amazingly good. Beautiful esters. Very complex and very exciting. Lots of red fruits like cherry paired with pineapple and a creamy marshmallow hint. Absolute hammer price-performance ratio. Highly recommended. The only downside is the low alcohol strength. I would love to try it stronger
