A superb Caroni, more gourmand than the High Proof, which makes it a little better! The nose is magnificent, with great complexity! The palate is fresh, despite the years of ageing. Very long finish.

A true Caroni Masterclass. On the nose, there's the typical heavy profile of tar, rubber, menthol, leather and spices, but exotic fruit and citrus add an exquisite sweetness to the olfactory profile, to which solvents and a touch of caramel are added for a complete, complex and intense result. The palate is divine, perfectly combining the smoky, solvent and hydrocarbon profile on one side with the fruit and caramel sweetness on the other. It's oily, dirty, but also powerful, subtle and very complex. The finish is endless, with spicy aromas, tar, caramel, menthol and tropical fruit. A true Trinidad gem.

Heute wurde die höherprozentige Kuh ins Rennen geschickt. Vom Profil her nicht wirklich vergleichbar mit seinem Zwillingsbruder. Deutlich würziger, weniger Fruchtigkeit. Durch den höheren Alkoholgehalt ist der Abgang etwas länger. Sehr lecker, ich würde trotzdem den 55% vorziehen.
