Chalong Bay (Thailand) vintage 2018: it's quite nice on the palate, sweeter than our usual white agricoles. But at 40%, the finish is really too short. Whites accessible for starting with white rums. But at this price, you can find better whites on the market.

At the nose first honey-banana and sesame, then more and more soapy notes, a bit of cardamom, red pepper, and finally milk chocolate. On the palate, the milk chocolate continues but then becomes a bit spicy, sharp towards pepper, pepperoni, and then moves to mocha and strong espresso. All very creamy and strangely soapy, reminds me of canned lychees! Overall, due to the 40%, also a bit thin and fades quickly... However, in a daiquiri, it comes through incredibly creamy with coconut milk and lychees and is very harmonious and tasty! 🤤

This rum is perfect for mixers and I highly recommend it for that and also punch.
