24.10.2020 Lovely tasting arranged by one of my suppliers of rum. Notes Dark in colour. Nose Balanced, wood, faint leather, dried fruit, light rubber, faint tar, faint smoke. Palate Oily, wood, light roasted, faint smoke, dried fruit, light earthy, light rubber, faint chocolate, light leather. Finish Medium to long, wood, faint smoke, faint tar, light rubber, light leather, raisin.

Just tried it against the Bedford, which is way better. This one is flat, not typical Caroni at all.

Tasting with Mr. Daniel Jungberg on 18.07.2026 RX5725 Caroni Rum Artesanal Nose: Pleasant nose with light tar and smoke, slightly sweet scent of overripe stone fruit mostly mirabelle, burnt caramel. Palate: Light bitter sweet fruit. Tar and smoke, dried fruit like prune, diesel and rubber. The finish is overwhelming with tar and rubber, slightly bitter black tea and coffee. After some time in the glass there is more fruit sweetness. Reasonable balance, few sharp facets. I have rated it a bit lower before, but a good large glass makes the difference. The glass: Light tar and diesel, tobacco and oak barrel. Tasting “Home sweet home”

Tasting on 18/07 with F. Kraemmer. Nose on an adventure👃: I sense dried fruit, leather, tar, mirabelle sweetness. Tongue on an adventure 🥃: I taste a fantastic Caroni with the classic flavor notes like diesel, leather, tar, and rubber but also dried fruits! The tail of the story💫: A rum with a punch and a long, warm & balanced finish! This is the second time I'm tasting it and it gets a point up!
