Absolutely awesome st Lucia vendome in pure form. Mega nice honey and tropical fruit note. Acacia honey, incense, candied ginger and dried mango chips and mirabelle plum jam. Quasi the ultimate sipping Vendome pot still st. Lucia! Clearly dirtier and more funky than its 6y old little brother... Alcohol content just right!

Ja das ist mal ein richtig starkes Teil. Aber ein Rum dieser Qualität mit einem Drehverschluß?? Haha, immer mal was neues. Ist jedenfalls sehr röstig, aber auch ziemlich rauchig und holzig, Vanille ist erkennbar.

#6145 28.12.2025 Last online tasting if the year with the guys. It's been a great year, probably one if the craziest one's ever 🥰 Met many new run friends both online and in person, travelled a lot Germany, Belgium, France and Sweden. Next year should be a bit more tranquil I hope, because I have a ton of samples 🙃 Nose Medium intense, wood, light roasted, anise, dried fruit, light vegetal, polish, light rubber, clove. Palate Warm, peppery, wood, light roasted, banana, dried fruit, light anise, anise, light smoke, light polish. Finish Long, round, warm, wood, light cherries, light banana, light polish. Empty glass Vegeral, vanilla, light cherries, banana, light floral.

Blindverkostung: eine angenehme Süße in Form von Honig und Ananas ist in der Nase wahrzunehmen. Unreife Bananen gefolgt von leichtem Klebstoff und einer Kombination aus Medizin und Kräuter, ähnlich den 2000 Long Ponds – aber nicht identisch. Die Nase gefällt mir sehr gut und ich würde sagen, ich weiß jetzt schon, aus welcher Destille dieser Rum ist! Am Gaumen geht der Honig dann komplett auf, zudem kommen noch Holzaromen vom Fass dazu, die ich in dieser Intensität in der Nase noch nicht wahrnehmen konnte. Der Alkohol ist sehr gut eingebunden und dürfte bei ~55% liegen. Am Gaumen geht es genauso weiter, wie in der Nase: der Honig geht über in eine Kombination aus Medizin und Kräutern – was mich nun aber eher an die WIRD 2000 Batch erinnert als an die Long Pond 2000 Batch. Dieser Rum sollte aber definitiv aus St. Lucia sein und aus der Vendom Potstil stammen. Würde ich jetzt nicht schon den TST Vendom 9y im Kopf haben, würd ich sagen, dass der Rum ca. 13-14 Jahre alt sein dürfte. Ein mittellanger Abgang mit den selben Wahrnehmungen des Gaumens runden diesen schönen Rum ab. 90 Punkte

Blind tasting: a pleasant sweetness in the form of honey and pineapple can be perceived on the nose. Unripe bananas followed by light glue and a combination of medicine and herbs, similar to the 2000 Long Ponds - but not identical. I really like the nose and I would say I already know which distillery this rum is from! On the palate, the honey is completely absorbed and there are also wood flavors from the barrel, which I have not yet been able to perceive in this intensity on the nose. The alcohol is very well integrated and should be around 55%. The palate continues in the same way as the nose: the honey turns into a combination of medicine and herbs - which reminds me more of the WIRD 2000 batch than the Long Pond 2000 batch. But this rum should definitely be from St. Lucia and come from the Vendom pot still. If I didn't already have the TST Vendom 9y in my head, I would say that the rum should be around 13-14 years old. A medium-long finish with the same perceptions of the palate round off this beautiful rum. 90 points.
