Bielle LMDW 2001
Most tasters land it high, with one small split: a few find it a touch too bitter and oaky for the spice and char to shine, while others call it one of the best casks in the Bielle 2001 run. Expect dried apricot, figs and prunes, dark chocolate and coffee, charred wood, and violet, with a long, warm finish. The 55.4% is well tucked in.
- Deep dried fruit
- Great ABV integration
- Long warm finish

How does Bielle LMDW 2001 taste?
Aggregated from 18 community reviews.
Dried fruit, charred oak, long warm finish Loved by most for its dried-fruit depth, charred wood and great alcohol integration. The only quibble: a couple of tasters found the bitter oak edge a bit much, especially on the finish.

9,2:On the nose, the first impression we get is very thick, balanced combination of woody and fruity notes as dried dates, figs, raisins, the wood is charred with leather, caramel, nuts, spices.A sugarcane is syrupy, dark with black tea, licorice, tobacco and some mint.We certainly notice red fruits from red wine notes.. On aeration, citrus is out, some flowery notes, chocolate and coffee, as bourbon ageing notes are stronger. It comes very balanced and round. 9:On the palate, the attack is delicious with charred wood notes like caramel, chocolate, coffee, nuts, later toffee and different fruits like dried apricots, prunes, raisins, figs. The sugarcane is syrupy and spicy with tobacco, flowery violet. The combination of bourbon, red wine, sauternes ageing is attacking our tasting buds from all angles. We are enjoying very balanced and round rum with juicy peaches, red fruits, berries etc. 9:The finish is very long, tasty as sugarcane is a bit waxy, earthy, still thick with black tea, flowery notes, the wood still charred, spicy. The fruits are red, citrus and dried.

Ölig und schwer kommt er daher 😄. Sehe dunkle Farbe .

I could drink this all the time. Beautiful chestnut colour, heavy fruit notes in the aroma, wood slightly leathery. On the palate, the heavy fruit notes are joined by wine/cognac, tobacco, leather again, and towards the end comes a serving of mint and black pepper that lingers very long on the palate. Why do I only have a sample? 🥲
