Aimed at drinkers who like their agricole leaning woody and whisky-ish rather than bright and grassy. Trois Rivières built this Martinique cane-juice rum around oak, light smoke and a real whisky note, with a dry finish. A few tasters felt the double-wood treatment buried the agricole character, and one enjoyed it best in cola. Balanced and easy, if less classically agricole.

The aroma is first woody, then the Agricole smell comes to the fore. This is joined by some smoke and whiskey. Smoke and whiskey are also present in the taste, wood and later some Agricole flavor. The finish is relatively long and dry. Again, a good rhum from Trois Rivieres....

#6876 01.06.2026 Running a few samples after a workday near Copenhagen and a lot of driving. Watching a TV series about serial killers. This rum is not really me, it is a cheap rum so I guess it was meant as a mixer and it does pretty well in a cola. Fruity with nice agricole, coffee, light chocolate and light smoke in the roasted wood notes.

Shop visit Rum Paradise Hamburg April 2025. Here we have a rather average Agricole. You can recognize Agricole on the nose and palate, plus it’s woody and smoky. On the palate, there’s also a whisky note.

An excellent spirit, but not necessarily a good rum. Even though the product is very well balanced, it loses its agricultural notes. It borders on AOC in my opinion. However (and that's the point), it offers a real cocktail option, even for long drinks.
