Yes! I found myself a match :D Really thick, masculine and has a very interesting ruberry undertone which stands out. I see lot of you put orange peel from the fruity notes, but I would rather go for kumquat.

I had heard differing opinions about this caroni but I found it sublime! I really like the dirty side it has throughout its tasting! Rich and intense flavors with endless persistence! My favorite caroni 2000!

A very smooth, well-balanced Caroni. The nose is very sweet, reminiscent of some of the lighter, sweeter Caronis. Caramel candy, hints of hazelnut, pastry, menthol, oak and spices (cinnamon, chili, pepper, vanilla) proliferate in the nostrils alongside the house's typical hydrocarbon and rubber notes. A very gourmand and tempting profile. On the palate, we find an oily, intense rum, both sweet and dirty, combining petroleum notes with the sweetness of caramel, hazelnut and milk chocolate. A fine assortment of spices and woody, empyreumatic (smoky) notes linger on the palate. Fruit is virtually absent, but the sweetness of the profile balances the palate well. The alcohol is well integrated. The finish is relatively long, warm and spicy. Hazelnut and smoky notes return with petroleum aromas, menthol and oak. Caramel and chocolate (particularly dark) give a sweet twist that complements the rest of the profile. A superb Caroni, accessible but very complete and dangerously drinkable.

Strong Caroni in the usual high Velier quality. Doesn't have to hide next to the Last, even if it doesn't deliver the same "Caroni essence"

Tolle Abfüllung. Wirkt etwas leichter und weniger schwer als andere Caroni. Sicher auf Grund des ABV. Kommt aber extrem gut. Mischung aus Menthol und tropischen früchten, vanille, leicht spanisch anmutend, dennoch sehr präsent und kräftig im geschmack, wunderbare balance. Geil öliges mundgefühl, legt sich richtig schön im hals. Wirkt wie ein Blend aus Caroni und dezent TDL Anteilen. Was teils 2003 Jahrgänge an Caroni mitbringen bringt diese Abfüllung für mich das umgekehrte mit.

Tasted yesterday on the brilliant Spree Ship Rum Tour in front of the GRF alongside many others. Great dirty-sweet nose and also a balanced, fully aromatic Caroni on the palate, where I don't miss anything. Could even hold its own next to the Last with less mint and a little more burnt plastic.

Au nez on reconnais rapidement que c'est Velier, dominé par le caoutchouc, les solvants en fond et des fruits. En bouche aussi ! les marqueurs Caroni sont bien présents. Un fumée/viande persistant qui se laisse remplacé par les typiques goudron et caoutchouc. Et le caoutchouc encore très présent le lendemain au réveil !

Kirsch Cruise 2024 Berlin For me, a Caroni as it should be. It has everything you would expect. The great dirty notes that I like so much about this profile. More on the dirty side than on the fruity side. Overall nicely complex with well integrated alcohol. The finish could be a little longer.

in addition to the typical Caroni notes also much what you can pick up at the Christmas market: Orange, cloves, cinnamon, plus a certain menthol freshness. A little more ABV might have unleashed a little more power.

It tasted good to me. I quite like the 2000 vintage. Dirty with less heavy sweetness and gasoline in it. I also like the slightly charred ash note in the finish. Not as good as some single casks of the vintage but definitely very good.
