Toll ausbalanciertes, klassisches JD l & V -Profil. Zum Podium fehlt der letzte Rest Originalität, aber dieses Profil ist einfach großartig und auf wunderbare Weise komplex und dabei doch harmonisch.

Je le préfère à son Petit frère de 8 ans que je trouve plus fougueux, les quelques années de plus en fût de bourbon on arrondit un peu les angles, avec notamment une petite note de vanille au nez comme en bouche

Cerise et tabac au nez !! Alcool plutôt bien intégré ! On retrouve ce tabac et la cerise en bouche ! Petite fraîcheur agréable sur la finale !

Au nez, c’est lourd, sombre mais parfumé. Très fruité sur la cerise, la pomme et l’orange, poivré mais principalement de grosses notes empyreumatiques (tabac – bois – cire). C’est complexe et riche à souhait avec des notes de chocolat. En bouche, l’alcool est moins bien intégré que la version de Berry Bros dégusté juste avant, le côté fruité est moins présent et on retrouve beaucoup plus le boisé. On a des notes toastées – grillées. Le tout est un peu trop sec à mon goût. La finale moyennement longue est complexe. Je trouve cette sélection moins gourmande que le Berry Bros.
