Have some few favorits (Savanna, Bellevue and most Haiti) We are not fans of this one. Sorry for the low rating, but we really don’t like it. Nice to be challenged and to try something different

A fairly young rum with a very interesting aromatic profile. Notes of wood and vanilla are followed by fruit, a touch of fresh vegetal and floral notes, followed by pepper and butter. These aromas persist on the palate, with a dry, clean attack focused on spices and a hint of tobacco. The finish shows a perfect balance of the above-mentioned flavors. A fine example of a young rum with a beautiful aromatic palette.

This rum from Neisson in Martinique is a Eleve Sous Bois aged for two years. The nose is complex, dry, fresh, spicy, round, fruity, woody and a little sweet with scents of vanilla, pepper, citrus, orange, honey and mint. At the palate it’s fresh, spicy, woody and dry with flavors of sugarcane, cocoa, vanilla and orange. The finish is medium long and dry with flavors of pepper and vanilla. Overall a rum with a remarkable scent, being so young.

8,4:On the nose, the first impression we get is a bit dry sugarcane juice, with notes of bagasse, pepper and a sort of graininess, it soon opens up to fresh citrus and flowery notes, a bit perfumed.It then rounds out with rich, fatty oak and melted nuts. The woodiness is toasted and dry all the same, pairing with the sweetness of a honey and pepper. On aeration, the rum achieves a fine balance between a dry agricultural character and full-bodied nuts. The woodiness is the main actor, supported by peppery mint and red fruits. The sugarcane is round, mineral with some black tea and a buttery biscuits. 8,5:On the palate it is lively and spicy, minimally bitter, a bit dry.The sugarcane and wood are pairing, with some rest, the wood takes the torch with pinches of cocoa and nuts. Peanuts also, fatty but not roasted and nougat, there are yeast and tea, flowery, inevitable red fruits, balanced and round. 8,4:The finish is simple, less complex, dry, woody with nuts and pepper, the sugarcane is juicy, honeyed, mineral and minty, a bit flowery with geranium... #4499 25.11.2023 Looking at the price tag you get a lot for your money with this release. Medium fruity but very fresh and well balanced. The palate is oily and sweet with light floral notes. The finish is medium long with a minty and orange touch. Draws very nice curtains in the glass. The empty glass has some light chocolate and stronger mint notes.

Selected as part of a rum discovery and tasting event in the amber rum category. 👃 A nose very close to the base distillate, sugarcane soaked in sunshine, it's vegetal on the freshly cut cane. Citrus with a fresh combawa, a more marmalade orange side and some distant exotic fruit notes. The 105 heating brings a nice vanilla, some caramel and a quite lively and peppery woodiness. 😋 The cane still there, a bit of tobacco leaf on a dry, herbaceous side. But the palate is mainly woodier than the nose, more vanilla, roasting, a side of cooked sugar pastries, peppery and kitchen spices, present citrus bitterness. I find the alcohol quite lively, not disturbing but not optimally integrated. ⛳ The finish is a strong point, obvious agricole side on a nice lasting sugarcane, spicy, dry and lively woodiness. It ends on a freshness of citrus and green mint. 💡 Apart from a few exceptions, ESBs are not my cup of tea. Here, this 105 profile is close enough to the Neisson distillate for me to appreciate it. A reference in its category. I prefer it to the 107 profile.

The Neisson Profil 105 is a beautiful agricole rum. The nose is complex and very pleasant. On the palate, you feel the alcohol degrees. It is rather hot and dry with woody and spicy notes. The long finish is also dominated by wood and spices.

Wow, a beautiful piece, I would not have thought. The nose is predominantly woody and peppery, definitely makes you want more. The palate is also woody and peppery, but there is also a slight sweetness in the form of vanilla and chocolate. Very tasty.

Fresh Agricole. The nose is promisingly fruity and fresh. In terms of taste, it feels like it could be something very special, but unfortunately the big bang doesn't come. It tastes really good at first and then becomes too flat for me. But you do get something for just under €50.

This rum with a short aging in a barrel with a specific heating profile captured very interesting gustatory qualities. It kept the markers of agricultural rums, notably the peppery side, citrus and cane, and it enriched itself with roundness in the toasted barrel (chocolate/vanilla). It holds well in the mouth and leaves a pleasant taste. Discovered in a Caribbean bar in Paris, I didn't take long to buy a bottle.

Old label. The picture depicted is the newer label. Same abv + recipe I guess. Classic agricole in the nose. Somewhat buttery. Hay. Young wood. For it's age pretty fine. Taste: a light, candied nuts, honey sweetness. Nicely balances. White pepper. Some lemon. Dry. Bitter. This is a very well done young agricole. I recommended this one a lot to people starting with rum, to try a decent agricole. It's been a while since I tasted it but I still like it a lot.

Young rum with wood, spices and lots of sugar cane. There are also subtle notes of dairy products, which are stronger in other Neisson rums. The depth is probably still missing here. The smell is very good, but very rough and sharp-edged in the mouth. I think a longer time in the glass and perhaps a little water will improve the mouthfeel.

very very exciting Agricole. somewhat alcoholic on the nose and also not perfectly integrated in taste but still very tasty and complex. Lemon, milk chocolate, mint, banana and wood on the nose. taste then dark chocolate, tobacco, leather, black pepper, orange peel and lemon zest, some banana peel and honey, as well as vanilla and leather. very nice!

An excellent agricole rum, a good spicy/peppery taste with slight citrus notes. I even sensed a bit of chocolate in it. The alcohol stands out a bit but that's also its strength. The quality-price ratio is very very good.

My first Neisson, so I’m not biased by experience yet. On the nose, green fruits (apples and pears) with grain and floral agricole notes of average intensity. Only slight wood influence, so I’d guess a fairly young rum. On the palate, then surprisingly much woodier than expected. Cinnamon, young wood, noticeable alcohol but not biting. Clear fresh agricole aromas. I’d wish for a little more sweetness, coffee or fruit; it’s a bit one-dimensional. The finish is earthy and quite bitter, with a slight charcoal taste. Overall a successful rum with a great nose, but from my experience I’d rank it as an average agricole with room for improvement.

Powerful and yet pleasantly demanding in a young way, the Profil 105 is fun in the glass when I'm in the right mood for it. When the bottle was freshly opened, noticeable solvent / glue aromas were still present, but they disappeared beyond recognition over time.

On the nose: Quite mild on the nose, not intense at all. Pepper. Sugarcane. Floral. Taste: Now, alcohol is integrated very well. Smooth oily mouthfell. Sugarcane. Toasted spice. Finish: Sugarcane. Floral ans agricole notes. This plays around sugarcane and argicole notes, but in a very smooth and pleasant way. For its price, its a very good rum.

On the first nose, the scents of cane and wood are clearly perceptible. The second nose is rounder, and despite its 54°, the alcohol seems very well integrated and doesn't burn at all. On the palate, the good integration of the alcohol is confirmed. The woodiness and cane are still very much present, as are the spicy notes. The finish is fairly long, with wood and spicy notes still present.

Agricole meeting and tasting with Kevin in Blåvand, Denmark For the price really a blast! Brings everything a pleasant Agricole needs. Very pleasantly round on the nose, sugarcane and vegetal, bitter to tart hints. Plus a slightly edgy note that makes it very individual.

Just under a 7.5 Unfortunately, my expectations were not completely fulfilled. The rum is very balanced and neither the fruit nor the sweetness can prevail. The price-performance ratio is not convincing. However, the alcohol content is well balanced. For me, it lacks that certain something.

Marshmallow on nose, tropical fruits, On palate it is complex. Very much fruits, acids, honey, chemical notes, tart. Melons 🍈, pineapple 🍍, note of peat. It reminds somehow fruity scotch whisky. A very long finish.

Green tea and Wehrter's caramel in the nose. When adding water some green apple. In the taste mint leaves and a peppery dose of spice are added. An odd combination of flavours. In the finish a musty whiff of mold.

My RumRatings review from 5 years ago: The rum shows intense classic Agricole notes on the nose. Lots of grass and hay. A freshly mowed meadow with juicy citrus fruits. There's also some sweetness. If you like Agricole notes, you won't get enough of smelling this. On the palate, the rum starts off again classic Agricole. Floral, fruity with some sweetness added. Virgin oak with vanilla. The rum gets a bit spicier with roasted aromas. Light smoke. The finish is long and roasted Agricole notes linger for a long time. The alcohol is noticeable and warming but doesn't disturb the rum's flavor world. The Neisson 105 is a very classic Agricole. Especially on the nose, it is very intense. Well balanced and full-bodied, it is very tasty if you like Agricole. If not, you should invest your money elsewhere. I find the rum top-notch for under 50 euros.

An extremely educational rum that perfectly illustrates the transition between the raw freshness of a white and the first influences of wood. A fascinating bottle.

Color: between a nice deep gold and auburn, Nice viscosity, a well-fatty side. Nose: the first nose is quite lively, on alcohol, a spicy side! The second nose reveals herbal notes, slightly spicy (pepper), woody and notes of burnt caramel :-) Palate: it’s first warm and lively, then spicy notes develop, slightly bitter (dark chocolate) and fresh notes of sugar cane :-) Finish: quite long, fresh side, mentholated and spicy (spicy pepper)! To try, a very well-made rum at a reduced price :-)

A rather cool Esb that shows a nice evolution in a short time. Gourmandise and freshness combined (notes of licorice and chocolate) with fruit It's not bad at all for a still affordable price!

Read full review ›The smell is intense with light citrus notes, spices, roasted coffee and woody notes. I find some caramel and sugar cane aromas in the background. Lemon peel, spices, wood and sugar cane again on the palate. Also the slightly floral and earthy aromas from the Blanc. Here, too, the finish is quite long with orange peel, sugar cane and a slightly minty freshness.
