Such a strange drink. As a rum? Solidly a five between my husband and I after we argued about it a little. Drinkable, no funk or strangeness. I got a lot of apple fruit leather on the nose, with some pear later. The palate was surprising, thin but oily. The finish is medium and unremarkable, but nice. Lots of white fruit notes; pear, apple, and grape. As an Agricole? This is actually pretty good. A lot of agricole is too meaty and grassy at the same time, creating harsh and unpleasant clashing tastes. Looking at you Clemont, you know what you did. Drinkable, sippable, probably better mixed. This is getting an 8 because I’m not rating it as a “regular” rum, but as rhum agricole. As a “regular” rum it’s a 5.
