Smell: Sour berry grits with blackberries and currants ... Sugar cane juice ... ... and anise and Indian spices. Taste: Spicy hot in the mouth, while slightly sweet. When swallowed extremely spicy, alcoholic and spicy. Very strong highly aromatic and intense flavor. Aromas of plant sap and herbs with anise, also slightly sweet and fruity (berries). Eine hochintensive Nase nach salzigen Oliven überwältigen einen fast. Danach kommt noch etwas gesüßte Himbeere dazu. Geschmacklich überwiegt dann brauner Zucker, Kräuter, Pfeffer, etwas saure Limetten und Speck. Der Abgang ist lang und speckig. Muss man mögen. Meins ist es definitiv nicht. Olive in der Nase und Speck im Geschmack fallen zu intensiv und auf negative Art auf.

Tasted in the Savanna Tasting at the 11th GRF and perhaps the best of the line-up. Times quite exciting, but also no highlight in the field of white rum.

Hui, if you know what you're getting into, the nose is exciting and interesting.... very fruity, very artificial, very intense. First, an alcoholic honey sweetness towards mead. Fermented fruit, almost vinegar. There's a mix of grape, yellow plum and some lychee with a medicinal overtone. Distinctly veg towards olive and saffron at the back.Surprisingly spicy-smoky-fruity-sweet on the palate. Lime zest with an herbal green twist. Something like mace and saffron, bitter.Very interesting at the end.

This Savanna Créol Straight comes from the 2018 harvest and was bottled in May 2019 after being distilled in the Savalle column at the distillery in Reunion. It’s a Brut de Colonne without any reduction limited to 1350 bottles. Overall a very special Agricole Blanc (in a good way) compared to the ones from the Caribbean.

Raspberry on the nose without end at the beginning, in addition comes later something olive and slightly vegetable notes. very intense and concentrated.geschmacklich then a blast from simultaneously salty, bitter and sweet flavors bit like ricola candy with berry flavor, plus something smoky bacon and floral. In the finish, it is then personally too metallic metallic and also somewhat alcoholic to me purely what is also no wonder at 67%. in the daiquiri he makes also not quite as ne good figure as the 52% creol which was also more harmonious to me overall and has liked better. nevertheless exciting!
