A sample picked up at the Lucerne rum festival. A very indulgent palate, vanilla cone, overripe tropical fruits. The mechanical workshop is rather discreet but contributes to the beautiful complexity of a very homogeneous nose. The palate, on the other hand, starts with notes of tar and rubber and the fruits only come afterwards, then the pastry aromas. The finish is long and tasty. A Caroni (perhaps from 1997) all in balance with a beautiful complexity but always remains homogeneous. A very nice surprise.

#5471 12.07.2025 Late tasting with a set of friends and I'm always happy when we meet up. Nose Medium intense, wood, light roasted, light rubber, faint tar, light berries, light mint. Palate Warm, wood, light roasted, light rubber, light tar, light mint, light cherry, faint orange, light caramel. Finish Long, wood, light dried fruit, light rubber, light tar, light orange, light berries. Empty glass Light rubber and tar, cherry, light mint, light burns.

Like all products above 50%, watch out for the nose... It toasts the hairs... Let your glass air for 1 or 2 minutes... Your nose will thank you 😉. What complexity on the nose... Leather, woody, roasted and very rounded... What a promise for the palate... On the palate, you find the Carroni markers: Tar, rubber, spicy, woody, crazy complexity, but less pronounced than the Vellier products. A medium-long finish with tropical fruits and its legendary smokiness... Don't hesitate to spend some time with your glass after tasting, a bouquet of aromas awaits you... In short, A Carroni.
