Expect dry sugarcane, young oak and a spicy, medium-fruity middle — apricot, grapefruit, a little chocolate and nutty notes in the empty glass. First off the price matches what you get. A medium fruity rum with a warm/spicy touch on the palate. I like the light nutty notes and the empty glass reveals even stronger notes of chocolate and wood.

A small rum without much character but still good. After all, the finish is very short, a pity.

A nice improvement to the Karukera Gold I had in comparison. It is a bit more balanced, more creamy but has the same dry sugarcane note accompanied by wood.

07.2024 First impression: fruity, woody Nose: rich cocktail of fruits, soft, warm, grass Palate: sharp, astringent, woody Finish: medium-short, unimpressive Overall impression: just for the complexity of aromas on the nose it gets a 7.0 – otherwise matured Agricoles are not my thing. 2018 One of my first Agricoles, as a stop on the drinking journey through Dave Broom's 'Rum – the Manual'. Didn't like it back then.

11/05/2026: Advent calender: Le Monde des Rhums 2025. A rather nice surprise. Nothing too spectacular, but there are good aromas and flavours. I wish it was a bit less diluted. A decent Agricole for a correct price.

On the palate as on the nose: apricot, grapefruit, a bit of spices, all in a rather acidic register but it's not a very pleasant acidity (compared for example to the acidity of some Versailles which is much nicer). Some flashes of almond. A rum that lacks body in my opinion with an almost nonexistent finish. Not really my thing. Note that the bottle offered to me was opened for 1 year, oxidation may have somewhat destroyed it... I'll try to taste it again on occasion.

N dry fruit, citrus, milk chocolate B faithful to the nose, spicier nutmeg. Finish follows the spices but a bit too reduced. Easy to drink.
