The L’Esprit range presents a very sparkling Travellers. The nose is very pleasant and very smooth despite its lively side. Caramel, biscuit dough, and toffee bring the indulgence, while coconut, banana, and dried fruits add a bit of exoticism. Wood, milk chocolate, tobacco, and spices (chili, vanilla, pepper) bring a darker part. You can feel traces of solvents and glue that give character to this profile that stands out from the ordinary Belizean. The palate turns into a hot potato. Travellers fires the cannon with this explosive rum, very concentrated in spices (chili, pepper, salt) and sweet notes (butter caramel, toffee, milk chocolate). We find coconut, banana, citrus but also cherry which bursts onto the palate. It's well toasted, even roasted, but also very spicy for the palate. The alcohol could have been a bit better integrated, better to go with micro-sips. The finish is not the most intense but it keeps this warmth, this salty, spicy, roasted, caramelized, woody side and these exotic fruits. It contrasts radically with the power of the attack on the palate. A very powerful but tasty rum, with beautiful aromas but to be consumed sparingly to avoid the blast.

I'm pleasantly surprised by this rum from Belize! I would call this a perfect combination between Foursquare and TDL. I get classic FS notes like wood, coconut, spices but on top of that there is this fresh, peach note that reminds me of a TDL. Tasty stuff!

Classic color, very gourmand nose on sugar and almond, extremely round, it's divine on the nose. I tasted it blind and I should have recognized Belize, country of my best favorites! Exceptionally smooth mouthfeel for 67 degrees. Perfect balance of alcohol, fruit and leather. Very round and pastry comes to mind very quickly! Classic finish but with a certain sweetness that reminds of unrefined sugar from Mauritius.
