A little less sugar and a little more proof would do the rum good. Otherwise delicious and reminiscent of the Rare Casc Skeldon.

15.06.2025 Retasting this one and it's still pretty good. -------------- 07.06.2019 Enjoying a sample at home. Colour Dark to very dark in colour. Nose Light wood, faint roasted, faint polish, dried fruit, spice, light floral, light licorice. Palate Round, wood, light roasted, sweet, light caramel, light leather, dried fruit, light licorice, faint banana, spice. Finish Medium long, wood, light caramel, sweet, fruits, dried fruit, light licorice. Need to rest to really settle down. Luckily the new release has virtually now sugar and is a lot better in my mind.

Round rum with a strong finish of wood and pepper but still very sweet of taste.

Clean, precise, delicate, round, balanced, aromatic finish. A true dolcetto that takes the best from the 15 and the 12 and evolves it even further embracing with a refinement and sweetness typical of the distillery.
