Captain Morgan Black Label Jamaica Rum
Best kept for the cola glass rather than the tasting mat. This old Jamaican Captain Morgan reads sharp and alcoholic on the nose with a bit of plum and wood, then thins out on the palate into cherry and red fruit with a spicy edge. A couple of members found real Long Pond character in it and called it surprisingly interesting; more found it hot and watery neat.

How does Captain Morgan Black Label Jamaica Rum taste?
Aggregated from 36 community reviews.
Sharp, thin Jamaican better in cola Divides opinion: unsweetened and spicier than the modern Spiced Gold, with genuine Jamaican fruit — but sharp and thin neat, so most reach for cola.

This one isn't for sipping. Tastes very poor imo. I mixed what was left in my glencairn glass with some cola. I must say that i liked that combination.

Great in a rum and cola with lemon.

Day 3 of Artur's calendar is getting more and more obscure. I would never have thought of a Captain Morgen. Neither spiced nor sugared and the fact that Long Pond had a share in it was very interesting. I had more associations. With the taste of Guadeloupe. Very wacky. Nothing to do with the current bottlings.
