Most helpful positive review
A bit weak on the palate due to reduction to 46%, but a great nose, light honey notes paired with pineapple. Even after repeated tastings, I stick to my rating. Can hold its own but could have handled a few more percent.

13.03.2016 Nice relaxing day in the basement with nice food. Notes Medium dark in colour. Nose Light, light wood, faint smoke, light ester, faint marzipan, light mint, medium ester. Palate Thin, light wood, roasted, citrus, light marzipan, medium ester, anise. Finish Short to medium, light wood, faint smoke, citrus, earthy, light anise.

This great Hampden aroma escapes from the glass. Although the mere 46% limit the reach, the fine ester notes have their effect. Pineapple and mandarin plus a bit of marzipan and honey. A little vinegar harmoniously stands beside a freshness, almost towards menthol. Due to dilution, it comes across very weak on the palate. Therefore, the fine esters and anise dominate. Lime, pineapple and some marzipan also come through. The Hampden profile is nice, how nice would it be with higher ABV? Still quite good.

The reduction made this an interesting tasting but the outcome wasn’t to my liking. Way to reduced for a better note.

Too mild ... Hampden, legendarni jamajska destilerka, ktera krome rumu produkuje take alkohol do parfemu. Ve vsech rumech z teto destilerky ucitite divoke estery, po kterych cely vas organizmus nasakne vuni zluteho tropickeho ovoce - manga, papaji, anansu, broskvi. Jeden z rumu, ktere "must try before die"
