Very round and sweet nose. Almost vanilla. I thought of a molasses rum. The taste has nothing to do with the smell: very bitter citrus, then wood, green and young. It ends on a very sweet cane note. On aeration, strong coffee smell. Lemon, wood still, then a soft and sweet finish. Nice discovery. Edit 2026: I had the chance to taste this rum again and I find it excellent today. I definitely like these wood-aged ones where you enjoy fresh cane and the first wood notes. Very nice.

A fairly complex nose for a young rum, you can really feel the cane from the ESB. It's a bit vanilla, some spice notes, and a slight woodiness. On the palate, it's a cold shower! The alcohol is way too present, it burns the palate, it's too bitter. The finish keeps the bitterness from the palate. In conclusion, this young rum is a rum to smell.

26.09-28.09.2026 Whisky Live Paris. ------ RETASTING ------ The price matches pretty well what you get in my mind. The nose is fresh and fruity with spices, wood and cane. Leave the empty glass for a while and whif it again to get clearer flavours. The palate is fresh, woody and fruity with cane, nuts and cane. You can detect the Agricole notes on the palate after it has rested for a while. The finish is medium long with wood, dried fruit and spices.

Intense aromas for just one year of maturation. Smells of wood, caramel, citrus marmalade but also a fresh, herbal hint of eucalyptus. The taste has the same aromas as the nose plus a certain sweetness. Delicious bottling with an intense flavor, I like it. Bought in Bordeaux in 2023. Would never have blindly guessed one year maturation, but rather VSOP.

A friendly, open amber Bielle, with sweet spices, light green notes (cane) and citrus fruits on the nose. A typical agricultural rum. The attack on the palate is equally balanced. Woody, spicy notes take the lead, but are soon overtaken by exotic fruits, a touch of caramel and more planty, floral notes on the finish. A dry, fresh and smooth rum. The finish, of decent length, lingers unsurprisingly on wood, a few spices (nutmeg), citrus (lemon) and the bitterness provided by the vegetal profile. A good rum with good fundamentals, but a little expensive.

You can easily tell it's a Bielle. It is very close to the white with a slight roundness brought by the cask. I found a spicy nose, slightly floral, very light woody caramel. Palate rather lively. Finish short to medium.

A nice rum, quite young (1 year) but with tasty woody notes, caramel and citrus. A fairly smooth and easy to approach rum, the alcohol is already well integrated, good value for money.

Very versatile Agricole. From bitter orange at the start, almond pastry on the palate, a decent bitterness, and finally licorice, cucumber, and much more. Great Agricole. Very exciting.

A rum not so simple after all, fruity and a bit spicy, the wood is not very present. This rum is good! Especially if you buy it at the price of Guadeloupe!

This rum should be in some starter pack for “Introduction to agricole rums”. Aroma is very elegant and gentle. I noticed vanilla, fruit and wood. There is hint of that agricole scent, nothing horrible everything has it own place. Taste is very sweet and again elegant and gantle. I tried to decide if it is vanilla or sugarcane (sugarcane wins this round). I noticed some spice and wood, but overall this rum is very light (in a good way). Finish unfortunately is short but very interesting with flavors like bitter, there arr some sweet flavors and in my opinion there is hint of apple. Overall pretty nice rum and to be honest great agricole that I would gladly drink again sometimes.
