Blind tasting: a dry, spicy & fruity nose, probably from a Guyanese Pot Still. Wood, damp grass, anise and tropical fruits like papaya and honeydew melon. Definitely not cask strength, as I hardly perceive any alcohol on the nose. On the palate then dry wood, anise and a slight spicy sweetness with presumably 46-50%. The palate definitely continues the thought of Pot Still rum from Guyana with an age of maybe 10-12 years. The finish is spicy dry and medium length. I quite like this rum but can't pin it down to a specific candidate – probably haven't had it in the glass before. 82 points
