sehr scharf und metallisch an der Nase trotz Trinkstärke. in Geschmack eher dünn und verwässert, leider kaum Frucht, kaum funk eher nur Fass, Tannine, minimal birne und banane und metallisch und nicht gut zu trinken. überzeugt mich absolut gar nicht.

Got this rum as a sample from 24 days of rum advent calendat. And it was is an interesting blend of WP, Hampden and Monymusk. On nose, I felt a typical Hampden, esters cannot be denied by any means. On palate, this one loses the score and it is a bit sharp in the finish, but nevertheless this is an interesting blend.

Zu verwässert

A little far from the Jamaican markers, but very pleasant in its harmony!

Light color, but what a nose! Very greedy with ripe banana, liqueur, almost fig! Very pronounced exotic fruit and very present sweetness. Stronger palate, very strong for a 40%! Softer, shorter finish.

Naslazená karamelová vůně s ananasem a marcipánem. Chuťově to není průšvih, ale je to lehce na hraně, kdy bych řekl, že to je nějaký laciný alkohol. Je znát nevyzrálost. Závěr docela fajn s kombinací melasy a marcipánu, ananasu a hrušky.

JoA there are better but also worse ones. A few esters are recognizable and there is also a clear fruity note. Unfortunately, the product is very watered down. Absolutely thin. A few percent more could really have made this blend much better

Typischer Jamaicaner. tropisch-fruchtig in der Nase. Am Gaumen Banane, Vanille und Getreide. Pur ist er OK, nicht mehr und nicht weniger. Für tropische Cocktails super. Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist gut.

The Navy Island Jamaican Rum XO is a blend of pot and column still rums from Worthy Park, Hampden and Moneymusk. The rum is named after Navy Island, a small tropical island near the coast of Jamaica once owned by Errol Flynn. It’s matured in ex bourbon casks and bottled at just 40% ABV.

Surpris dans le bon sens du terme par ce produit. Je pensais tomber sur un rhum grand public édulcoré et épicé. Il n en est rien. C est un blend issu de distilleries Jamaïcaines renommée. C est bien rond autour du fruité exotique, un boisé grillé doux et de très légère notes fumées et d Esters.
