When this rum was released the price to quality was extremely good. Fruity from nose to finish with a spicy/peppery touch. The tannins and wood is very heavy on this one and many may not like that. If you get the chance of trying this rum, try and leave the glass for the following day or a few hours and you'll be rewarded with a wonderful nose.

Finally atypical and not so bad! I didn't like it on opening, but after 6 months of waiting, it's bearing fruit, especially the almonds and wood. To sum up, my tasting notes: On the nose: Tannins On the palate: Fresh, Dry, Toasted almonds The finish is rather woody.

The peculiarity of this rum lies in its sweetness despite a somewhat aggressive and tannic woodiness. It drinks very easily. However, the tasting on the palate is disappointing compared to the promising nose.
