CDI C.A.D.C Venezuela (Bottled for Germany) 2005
People who already like Venezuelan column-still rum and want it at full strength are the audience here. Expect vanilla, toffee, dried fruit and a clear chocolate-coffee roast, with clove and leather behind it. Several tasters call it easy-drinking for the style, though at 60.8% the alcohol pokes through on the nose and a couple find it a touch hot and unpolished.

How does CDI C.A.D.C Venezuela (Bottled for Germany) 2005 taste?
Aggregated from 32 community reviews.
Fruity, roasty Venezuelan at cask strength Most rate it a very good Venezuelan — fruity, spicy and chocolatey, harmonious for the origin. The catch: at cask strength the heat sits forward for some, and one taster found it thin and young.

Wahnsinnig guter Venezuela.

Very nice dark / sweet / fruity nose as you would expect. Smelling this one is very enjoyable. On the palate again dark / sweet / woody notes as you would expect. Unfortunately, alcohol is a tick too present and there is quite some harshness which you can find regularly in high proof column stills.

Beautiful trip to Venezuela

This is a really good CDI considering the price tag. The nose is fruity with spices topped with some barrel and a hint of leather. The palate is slightly sweet and spicy with fruits and chocolate/coffee. In the back i find cognac and a hint of medicinal notes. The finish is long and warm, slightly bitter/spicy with oak and raisins.
