Day trip Dortmund August 2025. Shop Weinhaus H. Hilgering. I bought this there. A nice, unaged Agricole, just as you want it. Cane sugar is recognizable, also very vegetal and floral.

Enjoying a few samples while watching "Generation Kill". Nose Agricole, sugarcane, citrus, light floral, light mineral, spice. Palate Oily, fresh, Agricole, sugarcane, citrus, light anise, floral. Finish Medium long, oily, round, light grass, sugarcane, light anise, light grapefruit. Empty glass Sugarcane, light anise, citrus.

Tasted at Spirits Days in Tournai, quick notes: Nose: vegetal, fruity Palate: very fatty, milky. Short finish of course. In short: first Madeira rum for me, rather positively surprised. Too bad it's at 40.
