31.01.2026 Killing my last sample of this release and I still love it 🥰 ---------- This is one of the best demerara rums I have had. Heavy, intense and balanced at the same time. Fruits and spices in a perfect dnace with some chocolate and a hint of rubber. The finish is medium to long with wonderful wood spices and dried fruit. I still remember that the day after the empty glass had the most wonderful aromas.

Old Guyana meets smoke - this also happens in other releases, but none of the releases convinces me as much as this one. I will continue not to be a fan of this earthy-smoky profile in the finish, but that is purely subjective - I equally recognize the excellent complexity and balance as well as the high quality of the release and consequently cannot help but give a rating in the top range, even if my absolute Demerara favorites are found elsewhere.

Incredible 1971 Demerara - spectacular, intesive and balanced frim the nose to finish, rubber, dark chocolate, dried raisins, roasted nuts, absolutely insane! Great vintage 1971😊

Another old full strength Demerara and even different profile. Pretty weak nose. Strong taste with fully integrated alcohol. The taste is full of rubber and plastic, few reisins, wood. Even if this one is univorn, it is not my faavourite
