7,4:On the nose, the first impression we get is fruity with prunes, blackberries and pomegranates, perhaps overripe strawberries, maybe pears. We could scent salty and musty notes, as wood with toffee comes out after airing it, as it is also roasted, there is chesnut, that is peculiar and rare to find in rum tastings. 7,5:On the palate, the attack is soft, fruity, salty and dry, with tobacco, hay and sherry notes. After some rest woody with dates, caramel and ginger were noticeable and a bit leather, licorice, anise and brown sugar. 7:The finish is medium length , woody, dry, dried fruits and with some tobacco and a bit smoky..

Tasting the 2020 version. Super buttery and creamy in the nose. Like Dutch "boterbabbelaars". Macadamia nuts. Taste: dry. Aniseed. Light (in a good way). Very Guyana. Probably some young Enmore + Port Mourant in here. More layered than the Barbados I had before this. Slighty more complex.

Another wonderful rum from Moon Import. A true Guyanese rum with no additives. The nose has the same smell as walking along the ocean in a storm, something salty with added vanilla and oak. The palate is dark and well balanced between sweet and salty with a tad of sherry, vanilla and oak. The finish is medium long with vanilla and some sweetness to it.

The nose immediately gives off ester aromas, with fruity notes of apple and dried fruit. Roasted chestnut and molasses are also present. It's fairly conventional (even banal) for a Guyana. The palate is firm and dry. Fruity notes and licorice appear, along with damp wood and vanilla. The finish is short, with notes of bitter citrus, spices (pepper-aniseed) and smoky-woody notes. A sweet rum that lacks the personality to really stand out in this lineup. But it's a good introduction to Guyana.

Un discreto prodotto che però non ricomprerei. Rum abbastanza leggero e a tratti troppo acido

Really excellent value for money, pleasant rum, not cloying. In my opinion it is suitable for both novices and more experienced drinkers but with moon import you can hardly go wrong
