"A very intense Enmore that feels concentrated," as one member put it — and that's the whole story here. Loads of harshly burned caramel, dried fruit and a thread of light menthol, with old Demerara wood woven right through. At 51.9% the alcohol is there but stays in line, never bullying the fruit. One of those rare, deeply-aged Velier Demeraras people cross off a bucket list.

Another great Enmore lightly fruity with spices and lovely wood. ABV is very well integrated. Getting a bottle today will probably make a serious dent in your wallet.

A broad and complex nose, pear, dried fruits, herbal freshness, light menthol. The alcohol is quite present and the wood is very well integrated. The entry on the palate is lively, the alcohol is well present but does not dominate the aromas. Some stewed fruits and the wood supports. The finish is long and more woody than on the palate.

Lightly smoked whisky taste even in nose-out ... Old Velier Demerara rum is the best thing you can taste in the rum world. The rums have been aged in the tropics for several years by mistake and nobody has refilled the cask. The Andel tax was 90% or more, which is why the taste is especially full and intense. Even though it is an extra expensive product, I recommend to taste a rum from this series at least once in your life.
