The nose is grassy, floral and fresh with olive; the palate runs vegetal, earthy and peppery, with odd but charming melon and squash notes several tasters flag. Not bad at all, this white Issan. On the palate again very vegetal and floral. Also smells like fresh grass and olive. On the palate it is also very vegetal, also earthy and a bit medicinal.

#6497 15.03.2026 Running some samples after a nice day out meeting up with a friend I have not seen in 15 years. Again a mixer where the price to quality is pretty good in my mind. Though a mixer it still has a nice fresh nose with grass, floral and herbal notes. The palate is oily, fresh and fruity with citrus, grass and floral notes. There is a nice spicy kick in there as well. The finish is long and warm with a peppery touch, citrus, herbs and grass.

A rum from Thailand that keeps its promises in terms of exoticism. The nose is very floral and vegetal, notes of sugar cane, grass and earth combine with the sweetness of lychee, citrus and peppery notes. It is very soft and fresh. On the palate, the sweetness clearly predominates. It is very vegetal, very fresh, the sugar cane and lychee express themselves without too much trouble on this quite clear profile. Note some spices (especially pepper) that tickle the taste buds. The finish is very short, carried by sugar cane, pepper and greenery. An exotic, fresh and friendly profile that would have potential if Thai legislation did not prohibit bottling alcohol above 40%. Note that it goes relatively well in cocktails.

On the nose, matured/fermented tropical fruit (especially papaya), pumpkin, melon, lychee, and a mix of extra virgin olive oil and balsamic vinegar, like a red wine opened a few days ago or a sherry/passito. Very particular. On the palate, a bit of toastiness and some salty notes appear, then citrus and lively pepper in the finish. In the empty glass, melon, pumpkin, rosemary, and roasted/meat broth (umami). Too bad for the lack of depth, but it remains characteristic and unique.

🎃 Pumpkin?!🤣 both nose and taste: at the same time Hokkaido pumpkin, honeydew melon and butternut squash and in the finish a bit of cucumber and pumpkin seeds. totally crazy and very drinkable but unfortunately also a bit watered down and fleeting and thin. cask strength here would be a mega hit!
