#4210 I'd say this one is watered to death. Very light profile that is pretty sweet, yet fruity. The empty glass has a light smoky note and some chocolate.

Color: Reddish brown - Chestnut Oloroso Sherry Smell: Light, fresh, sweet and winey-fruity. Clearly smells like port wine. Taste: Mild in the mouth, very round and fruity when swallowing. Not alcoholic or spicy at all, but sweet and winey. Red fruits, diluted. Finish: Medium length Port wine, especially in the aftertaste. Woody bitter and unpleasant.

This barrel-aged rum receives a solid 6/10 – a well-balanced but distinctive character with potential. First impression: The port cask's alcohol dominates powerfully, with an intense, raw heat filling the palate. Woody notes follow closely, adding a robust, woody depth. Dried fruit – figs, raisins, and faint citrus – brings sweetness in, elegant and without excessive stickiness. The overall sweetness is refined and harmonious. The finish is its strength: long-lasting and evolving, with dry chocolate lingering subtly and leaving a warm, inviting finale. Ideal for a relaxed evening; a bit alcohol-heavy at first, but the whole convinces.

Mathematically speaking, the aroma of this rum lies on an e-curve close to zero. On the nose, I get very light hints of port wine, wood, dried fruits, vanilla, rose, and other fruity nuances. On the palate, a pleasant sweetness comes through first. Then I imagine dried fruits, wood, dark chocolate, red fruits, and vanilla. The short finish consists of wood, dried fruits, light barrel notes, spice, cocoa, and a bit of port wine. This rum is so monotonous that it's actually interesting again, as I have to force my senses to perceive something.

Overall too weak and thin... The nose is hardly noticeable.. on the palate the wood and some spice dominate... the port wine finish is hardly noticeable! Shame!
