Review by cigares
A rum picked up in a restaurant, the bottle barely opened. The nose is very marked by the machine shop, but tropical fruits are not far away. The palate is lively and balanced, much better than the Caroni Whisky Agency 16yo. Long finish. A fine representative of the 1997 vintage. Tasted again at the Caroni tasting at the Spirits Museum and left the same impression.

28.03.2022 Sampling a bit at home. Notes Medium to dark in colour. Nose Light wood, herbs, banana, overripe, faint smoke, varnish, cherry, faint smoke. Palate Oily, light wood, cherry, light herbs, workshop, cinnamon, light orange, light licorice. Finish Medium long, light wood, cinnamon, light liquorice, faint chocolate, very faint tar.
