06.03.2020 Met up with some colleagues to give a tasting at this old iconic place. Notes. Light in colour. Nose Light wood, fruity, banana, vanilla, caramel, caramel. Palate Full, wood, balanced, fruity, mango, caramel, light roasted. Finish Medium to long, fruity, caramel, spice.

Small special sample for the Olympic Games! Nose: crème brûlée, cookie dough at the opening. Then immediately: banana, yellow fruits, obviously varnish. A slight floral or medicinal note, a bit fresher. Mouth: salty, peanuts, salted butter caramel, honey. Light esters but they are there. Alcohol very well integrated, slight warmth at the end of the mouth between vegetal and wood. Edit: after 3 sips it improves even more, I like it a lot!

🌿 TCRL Fiji 2009 – 57.18% Not a Jamaican... but with Sébastien, you can't miss a Fiji 😄 👉 8 years of aging (including 1 year tropical), 966 bottles. And here... nice surprise 👀 🌱 Vegetal, earthy, medicinal profile, with a real ester signature. 👉 Everything you expect from a Fiji is here. ➡️ Not at the level of the legendary 2001, but honestly very solid.
