CDI St. Lucia (Bottled for Denmark) 2002
"Very Pleasantly nose," one taster wrote, and that's the consensus here: the smell of olive, citrus and herbs draws nearly everyone in. The catch is the palate — most find it drier and more herbal-bitter than the nose promises, with roasted, licorice notes. A couple of people called it slightly one-dimensional or even a touch watery. A savory, herbal St. Lucia at cask strength.
- Olive-herb nose
- Long finish
- Cask strength character

How does CDI St. Lucia (Bottled for Denmark) 2002 taste?
Aggregated from 14 community reviews.
Savory, herbal St. Lucia, nose beats palate Loved for its olive-and-herb nose; the palate splits people. Some get a long, balanced finish, others find it too dry, bitter, or a bit thin and roasty.

Sehr schön ausbalanciert! Klasse!
Review by Oliver
Spannende Nase mit viel Röstaromen und Kakao, gepaart mit Kräutern und etwas tropischen Früchten. Am Gaumen dann aber recht trocken und herb. Trotzdem ein sehr guter, röstiger St. Lucia Rum.
Review by Jakob
The nose gives some extra points, unfortunately it then becomes a bit too tart-bitter for me on the palate. The nose is dominated by a great melange of olive, citrus notes and hay. In the mouth, toasty-spicy flavors come in, which are a bit too dominant for me. Too bad - the nose itself is sensational and has briefly made great hope for a St.Lucia at the height of Warren Khong.

Slightly sweeter than other st Lucias but also quite one-dimensional roasty and herbaceous with light notes of nutmeg, ginger and green apple. Overall a bit boring unfortunately...
