People new to Guadeloupe agricole should feel at home here: it's round and gentle rather than grassy and sharp. Wood leads on the nose, then caramel, toffee and a bit of pepper, with pineapple and coconut in the glass. One taster called it an "untypical agricole" whose natural sweetness wins over people who normally skip cane-juice rums. A touch thin, and it fades quickly.

Overall an interesting rum that could be a first start to experience rum from Guadeloupe because of its roundness which makes it very easy drinked. This is an Agricole from the house of ReimonenQ in Guadeloupe named after one of the founders, Joseph Reimonenq. It’s a rum distilled in their column still in 2012, aged for four years in former bourbon casks and thereafter bottled at ABV 40%.

This ReimonenQ is also a decent rum. Wood is the first thing you notice on the nose, followed over time by caramel and a certain spiciness. The palate is similar, with pepper recognizable as a spice.

A little thin, but still pure reimonenq essence of toffee caramel and pineapple. Top for the PLV. Super atypical agricole that will convince every non-sugar ear juice/agricole fan with its own sweetness.

Nice rum, interesting because it already carries the indulgence, the sweetness (without being sugary), and the roundness of the old rums from the RQL house. Pleasant, heavily reduced, so maybe accessible to more people. I find it a good value for money. And if it makes you want to explore their older rums... give the adventure a try!
