Amazing smell! Pleasantly sweet and a good kick of alcohol. This little tasting was a wonderful surprise that left a good taste on the tongue. The combination of caramel/sweetness and then slight woody taste makes this rum a balanced sensation that leaves you wanting for more.

At first, a spirituous smell is noticeable on the nose. On the palate, this is confirmed but quickly gives way to a woody-smoky vanilla taste. Also, dried fruits and vanilla aromas are noticeable. A rather average rum.

Unmistakable an Cuban rum that doesn’t reach the me of the Havana Club Seleccion de Maestros. The nose is smoky with an aroma of oak. At the palate and during the medium long finish it’s elegant, full bodied and smoky with flavors of oak, fruit and caramel.

A weak rum that does have aromas that go together and basically head in the right direction. But unfortunately always with an alcoholic nose and sharpness. Also too thin and fleeting on the palate. You can drink it neat, but you don't have to.

Pub Christiansen's Hamburg December 2025. Next up a Cuban. Tastes quite pleasant. Very smoky and roasted on the nose and palate. Vanilla and caramel are definitely also well recognizable.

The alcohol stings quite a bit in the nose at the beginning. However, I don't find it too unpleasant due to the smokiness. The classic vanilla/caramel flavors join in on the palate. It seems as if the rum has been stored in ex-bourbon barrels

Initially bites a little on the nose, but also comes with nice fruity-sweet notes. The taste is also surprisingly fruity and versatile for a Cuban. Somewhat smoky and sweetish, is recommendable!

Quite generic light rum. Nose: Acetone and white grapefruit, some alcohol scent present Palate: Watery vanilla on the attack followed immediately by strong alcohol burn, but balanced in that burn. The vanilla remains present but there is an overwhelm of quite generic light rum taste that dissipates quickly and is easily forgettable. Finish: Barely there, quick to disappear. Even though I tasted this from a small 5 cl sampler I did not feel particularly inclined to finish the whole thing. It is just tremendously generic in the mouth. I do like vanilla notes but they don’t quite manage to impress. A pretty run-of-the-mill light column still rum, don’t let the age statement fool you.

The nose is not very good, first we feel the glue and then comes the alcohol which remains present even after 5 mi of aeration. In the mouth it is slightly sweet and at the end we have a light woody taste.
