Al naso è burroso con frutti rossi e frutta secca, cuoio, legno, cacao e agrumi/spezie, un bel mix che ha come sottofondo un sentore carbonizzato. Al palato è legnoso e speziato (pepe sichuan e altre) con datteri dolci e nocciole, sempre col sentore carbonizzato a fare da sfondo. Semplice, giovane, ma gradevole con un finale abbastanza persistente che lascia un retrogusto in bocca secco e sugheroso. Nel bicchiere vuoto stagionati e una flebile nota vegetale/floreale/legnosa (Versione bottiglia vintage dal collo lungo, senza la M)

A classic old rum in the pure agricultural tradition. Sugarcane, dried fruits and spices make their way into a relatively soft and discreet nose. On the palate, you find the dry agricultural side but also a sense of lightness. The sugarcane and its freshness are more discreet. On the contrary, the wood, spices and slightly roasted side come strongly and bring character. The dried fruits also support this more assertive side. The finish doesn't linger but reveals herbal and vegetal notes, accompanied by pepper, slightly spicy wood and a succinct fruitiness. An entry-level old rum, reasonably priced but lacking a bit of charm compared to other distilleries.
