A pretty tame Caroni due to the dilution. Besides the typical Caroni markers, the rum shows hints of hazelnut liqueur. With the pleasant sweetness, it's also easy to drink for beginners – very smooth for a Caroni.

Was soll man hier noch großartig schreiben? Richtig geiler Caroni. Liebe dieses Zeug, wenn er denn mal günstiger wäre 😃 Aber ansonsten hat auch er die typischen Caroni Noten wie Teer und Gummi, echt sehr lecker.

Epic Velier Caroni Tasting 2023: Positive surprise - has virtually nothing in common with the other 1993 Caroni releases. Pleasant to drink, nice sweetness, only subtle bitter notes. If one is looking for proof that hardly anything beats the Velier Caroni selection, then for the Vintage 1993 here is a prime specimen.

Well add a lot of water and that's how you destroy a Caroni. Too far watered Dow in my mind so very light in all the flavours.

After tasting the Old Legend, another strongly diluted Caroni from Velier. Well, another convincing rum with a very round profile. Nose is definitely more complex and has more depth than the 1985 but the palate finish is shorter. Two really good rums however 😊

Incredibly sweet ... Caroni je destilerie z Trinidadu, produkujici v dobe sve nejvetsi slavy rum, ktery se pridaval v pomeru 1:10 do namornickeho blendu. Byl totiz moc vyrazny a divny nez aby byl prijemny na jazyku. V roce 2000 destilerka skoncila s produkci a byla uzavrena. Az v roce 2010 se objevili degustatori, kteri si rum oblibili prave pro jeho specialni chut. A zajem rostl. Caroni patri do kategorie rumu "you need to try before you die". Doporucuji, Caroni je opravdu unikatni rum.

Sehr guter Rum, für einen Caroni aber eher ungewöhnlich. Es fehlen hier die dreckigen Noten, was ihn aber nicht schlecht macht.

A smooth Caroni. Much smoother than usual, allowing the milk chocolate, light oak wood, sweet and subtle notes to come to the fore much more. In the finish, the woody and Caroni notes come slightly more to the forefront. Due to the alcohol content, this Caroni feels very light in the mouth and is therefore very pleasant to drink. But a bit on the light side.

Ein angenehmer, runder Caroni. Einfach zu trinken, fast schon ein wenig zu brav. Süsser als erwartet. Die Nase riecht Vanille, Holz, ein bisschen Teer und Frucht. Der Geschmack ist nussig, schokoladig und röstig. Alles in allem ein Caroni, den man auch Anfängern nahe bringen kann.
