Loved how smooth this was. Very pleasant vanilla sweetness that was balanced with woody and spice tones to make a nice sip

Dry, spicy, woody, slightly alcoholic, little sweet, bitter finish. Light red fruit notes (cherry)! Not for sweet rum drinkers...

It has almost everything, but all not so powerful.

Nase, Gaumen, Abgang=Holz, Holzwürze Sehr eindimensional. Belegt die Zunge, den Gaumen. Etwas für Puristen.
Review by TheRhumhoe
A rum in the pure tradition of British style. The nose is soft, full of caramelized, spicy, vanilla and lightly fruity notes of raisin and exotic fruit. A hint of tobacco, leather and wood darkens the profile on the nostrils. The profile is simple, clean and precise. The rum becomes a little tougher on the palate. More woody, spicy and bitter flavors dominate and dry out the profile. Surprisingly, there are pastry notes of viennoiserie, caramel, brown sugar and bourbon. The palate heats up a little, but remains limited by the well-integrated but relatively low alcohol content. The finish is of medium length, even more bitter and astringent. The profile is dry, with (dried) fruit, toasted oak, sweet spices and burnt sugar. The evolution of the profile offers a nice contrast to the nose. Nonetheless, this is an easily accessible profile, both in terms of flavor and price, to discover the terroir of Saint Lucia.

Im Mund zuerst fruchtig und danach starker Geschmack nach Holz. Leichter Abgang nach Holz

For an Admiral Rodney base, it's a blast. Beautiful smell and taste - from the sweet tones to the woody ones.

Lekkere ronde smaak. Wat zoetig.

Nice bottle with a rum that doesn't need to hide, yes of course there is better from St. Lucia but as a light sipper for in between just right and not so sweet. The bottle also looks great on the on the shelf ;)
