The nose is strongly reminiscent of Foursquare. After a while in the glass I also have aromas of bananas. Taste also very balanced but compared to Foursquare edgier with strong barrel influence. The rum makes a real roller coaster ride. In the nose first harmless, on the tongue strong and the finish eternally long!

A very pleasant relaxed Fiji with wonderful fruity nose! Creamy it spreads on the palate with beautiful spice and woodiness! The longer he breathes the caramel comes more to the fore !A great rum

Very tasty creamy rum. Similar to The Duchess only a little more complex. Nice and creamy with great barrel influence. I like it very much. The other side of Fiji.
Review by tojo
Odor and flavor notes in the vegetable range. In addition, spices and a strong wood / barrel note. ABV of 58 comes through well.

the 16 years in American oak are already very noticeable on the nose. With the oak barrel then also comes the accompanying vanilla flavor, plus some caramel. The alcohol also stings a bit on the nose. On the palate, vanilla, dark chocolate, roasted flavors. Impression as with the Nobilis (No.16) 2004 South Pacific: unfortunately rather below average and far from the great 2001 bottlings.
Review by Mentalo
A completely different flavor profile to that of Fiji. More of a Spanish style with lots of vanilla and caramel. Virtually no fruity notes. Somewhat toasty and with a distinct barrel note. Interesting, but I prefer the fruity bottlings

This is one of those rums that just doesn’t speak to me. Not a bad offering but not a profile that I particularly enjoy. Quite simple on all fronts, this one offers oak, vanilla, caramel, spice and noticeable alcohol aromas. On the palate I get much of the same - vanilla, oak, some intensity, then spice finally settling into saltiness and a toffee like sweetness. Not a bad rum but for me not something I would really find myself going back for more of.
