17.08.2025 Received a box of white/unaged samples yesterday with many new, but also rums I have tried before. Today i started with some of the ones that I have tried before and this one is a bit better than I recall so it got a few more points. This is still a pretty good rum and I really like it. ================= This was a very nice surprise. When opening the bottle you get a very fresh and fruity note right away. Very fruity with cane from nose to finish. I love the balance of the fruit and spices and there is a faint floral note in there as well. Lovely white rum.

On the nose burnt cane, quite round especially for a 60°, sweetness, freshness. On the palate still softness, oily, with the cane. Then the 60° aromas start to turn and remain in the mouth on sweetness, for a medium to long length. A good white, quite affordable for its 60°, which only arrives late for the length. All in softness and presence, very nice and easy for a seasoned palate. EDIT: Retasted blind with Longueteau 62 and Constellation, it comes second behind the Longueteau 62 and ahead of Constellation, because of its very closed nose with esters, and makes up for it by its mouth first discreetly grassy then citrus and orange, and especially by its nice length which pleasantly warms the palate. A 100% black cane parcel rum, precursor of the Black Cane?

Very intense agricole profile on the classic triptych of sugarcane, herbs and citrus. I also find the characteristic pepper of Bologne, and less common a mineral and dairy side that makes this rum very interesting. I especially like the nose.

I find the grape flavor very strong for a rum. You get the peppery notes of the black cane. You could almost say it's a champagne without bubbles. Quite confusing.

Highly aromatic intense agricole from black sugarcane. Strongly grassy with lots of citrus flavor. Spicy long finish. I also get a little grape in the taste.
