It’s one of the better ones from O& O, maybe because that Agricole has a part in the blend. The finish is quite long and dry. The nose is fruity, sweet and round with aroma of citrus. At the palate and during the rather long finish it’s fruity and round with a good balance between the sweetness and dryness together with flavors of vanilla, honey and citrus.

When I first opened this rum, it reminded me of one a Cuba Libre: the lime was very distinct. Meanwhile, I got mostly caramel/honey, raisin, vanilla and sometimes roasty coffee/chocolate/tobacco. Certainly a bit sugary and not overly complex, but otherwise tasty, smooth and round. One of the best of O

Very sweet and pleasing. Unfortunately, there is not much character left due to the strong sugaring. Nevertheless, a nice rum for rum beginners.

Lovely and pleasant, well balanced. A good rum although being a solera it loses its appeal. Better than the Zacapa XO. Among the solera I have tasted it is the favorite. The persistence is long with a hint that reminds me of cigar and barrel.Unfortunately the rating is not very high because the addition of sugar I do not find exciting.

The taste is very delicate, soft on the tongue, with a spicy cedar-honey taste, with a sweet and spicy aftertaste 👍😎

8:On the nose it is coated with caramelised and roasted notes, tobacco and leather, but one quickly feels that the rum's interest lies elsewhere. Indeed, it seems to reside in a certain fruity, acidic, sweet but definitely exotic and fruits. With an aeration, the balance between the caramelised roundness and the aromatic rum is established, even if it is the sweetness that we retain in the end. The roasted nuts are generously coated, the vanilla pods are as if they were burnt. One can still distinguish this fruity inclination which draws towards the ripe and mirabelle plums. 8,2:On the palate it is well rounded, greedy like a bit salted caramel and tender like a nougat. A few lightly roasted almonds bring a little relief, as mirabelle plum is very tasty. The vanilla spreads on the palate and the tongue is impregnated with gingerbread with tobacco hints. 8,2:The finish is marked by notes of old fruit in brandy, with a hint of ginger, tobacco, which is constatly present...

A sweet solera with lots of fruit, vanilla and caramel. A good beginner rum in my mind.

This was quite a surprise for me. Not the best, but tasty and well balanced. It drew a nice curtain in the glass. More sweetness than I’d like, but it was smooth with raisin and toffee tones. It’d be better with a higher ABV.

Easy sipper excellent, a safe bet if you pay no more than €65. Unfortunately, it's often overpriced. But if you find it at a reasonable price, it works wonderfully as a quality representative of O&O and the Dominican Republic. An easy rum with a very good taste, well suited and best used as a casual sipper.

Ganz okay aber nicht das Geld wert. Typischer solera 30y rum bei dem wahrscheinlich kaum 30y alte rums vorhanden sind ... Den 23er finde ich etwas besser aber kaufen oder verschenken würde ich sowas nicht.

Quite pleasant and soft. You get some plums and raisins mixed with chocolate. Smoky touch is a nice additional dimension, though not complex or characteristic overall due to sweetness.

My purchase was fully based on the statistic that the years of maturation compared to the price tag seemed a no-brainer. At least for a whisky fan. And it indeed is full-bodied with a complex (and perhaps even slightly contradictory) combination of notes: Raisin, orange, tobacco, mocha, caramel, cinnamon, cherry, lime, vanilla and wood spice. Lovely.

Ottimo solera

Courtesy of RumX. Nice rum with a surprisingly spicy taste. The smell gives of sweet notes of brown sugar and then surprises you outright with the level of spice. Would not recommend to use this as an introduction to new rum tasters. Might be interesting to use it in a mixer but I prefer my rums neat :)
