Most helpful positive review
Typical Port Mourant on the nose: sweetish, spicy, leathery and then that sulfured dried apricot. The sweetness here does not quite come in the direction of honey, but a bit more tart, in the direction of maple syrup. I really like this smell!The palate is spicy-sweet, bitter-salty. Something of everything. Again, the sweetness is more in the direction of maple syrup than honey. Nutmeg, vanilla and anise. Then in the direction of herbs and tea.Really nice.In the finish remains anise tea.

It has a bit of everything you would expect from a Port Mourant. All in all, a solid bottling from CDI. Despite everything, it somehow lacks that certain something. Nice to have tried, but unfortunately not really a rum that will be remembered for a long time.
