Grays Mauricia Heritage
Anyone starting a rum bar or easing into cane-juice agricole will find this an easy, low-stakes pour. The nose is sweet and fresh — vanilla, apple, grass, even buttered popcorn for one taster — but the palate turns dry, spirity and grape-like, closer to a grappa or marc than a classic rum. A few tasters call it a good "daily sipper," others find it thin and short on depth.

Review by TheRhumhoe

The smell of this rum reminds me fresh grass and lemongrass. The taste is very extensive, I could distinguish fresh pineapple, mango and passion fruit. Aftertaste is very dry and woody. I am not sure if I should rate it 6 or 7. I will keep 6.5, but this rum is not bad! It has 45% of alcohol. To be honest, cask strength variant of this rum could be marvelous!

A very agricoly rum. Spirity like a Grappa or a Marc de Bourgogne. Grape based spirit. Light and fresh. More oak in the nose than in taste. It's very different from the New Grove old tradition 3y (Which is way thicker). Nothing really fancy but well made and a great daily sipper.

The nose for me is like smelling a fresh bucket of buttery movie theater popcorn. The palate is kind of vegetal and earthy, with a lightly oily mouthfeel. On the finish I get grapes.

Tasted at Rhum Fest Paris, partial notes. It's not really crazy, too much vanilla and caramel, it's rather flat and boring. Too bad.
