A Berry Caroni bottled for Charles Hofer in Switzerland. A nose marked by wood, charred wood with smokiness and fruitiness too. The palate is open, full-bodied with tropical fruit, wood and an earthy edge. The finish is splendidly long, with aromas that combine and renew themselves. A wonderful surprise! Taste again as soon as possible. Tasted again with quite a bit of oxidation and a little bitterness developed, but still excellent!

This is a very nice rum from Berry Bros. & Rudd. It has a wonderful nose transferred into a perfectly balanced palate. Palate wise we have a velvety complex taste that changes a bit in the followup sips. Leave for a while to rest so that all flavours can be released. The price to quality on this bottle is extremely good.

Sehr schöne Abfüllung, wäre nur nicht die Verdünnung. Dennoch, von der Nase bis zum Abgang alles sehr passend. Wunderbare Komplexität, sehr samtiges Mundgefühl. Ein wenig Kraft fehlt ihm am Ende, allerdings geht der deshalb wunderbar auch mal so. Caroni für den täglichen Gebrauch…das waren noch Zeiten.

Schmeckt recht rauchig ohne in die Whisky Richtung abzudriften. Dazu auch verwässert, was dem Profil nicht gut tut. Auf voller Stärke wäre das etwas sehr ordentliches geworden.
