05.09.2025 Retasting and I still find it sweet and bland. ================= 17.08.2019 Spending a nice evening with the guys, good food and several different rums. Colour Dark in colour. Nose Sweet, wood, dried fruit, light coffee, vanilla, light cherry, light tobacco, cinnamon. Palate Light, sweet, wood, light roasted, dried fruit, cinnamon, berries, fruity, faint maple, light tobacco. Finish Medium long, wood, faint smoke, light tobacco, faint coffee, light caramel, dried fruit. A perfect rum for beginners in my mind.

A very dark bronze tone. The smell is heavy, oily, sweetish, faintly alcoholic and sharp in the background. The taste is quite sweet, sherry and syrup, later slightly burning from the alcohol, quite oily. The finish is long-lasting, oily and powerful.

One of my favorite rums. Heavy, sweet and absolutely round. A rum that you can enjoy with dessert or on a cold winter evening by the fireplace. Scholoade accompanies you from the nose to the finish. There are also spices and caramel on the palate. An absolute recommendation for a tasting.
