12.04.2014 Lanternen Kolding Nice relaxing evening with colleagues at this old bar, which is no more. Notes Medium dark colour. Nose Wood, light, vanilla, caramel, honey, light nutts, dried fruit. Palate Intense, wood, caramel, light roasted, medium dry, light smoke, nutts, dried fruit. Finish Medium long, wood, roasted, light nutts, light caramel, dried fruit, tobacco.

Really good strong dark burnt caramel candy. The alcohol could be slightly better integrated, but the taste really delivers! Beautiful piece! All in all, one of the few good Nicaraguan single casks for me to date.

Color: Gold Nose: Aromatic and sweet with sandalwood, cookie dough, and fudge. Aromas of caramel, coffee with cream, and white chocolate. Also sweet grated apple. Smells very delicious. Taste: Very spicy and alcoholic sharpness in the mouth with caramel flavors. When swallowing, spicy sharp, peppery, alcoholic with tons of caramel and toffee. Also some coffee, toffee candy. Finish: Long and spicy, warms deeply inside with coffee aromas. Dry on the finish. Conclusion: A very nice bottling from Nicaragua. 85 points
