At the desk the guy asked me if I was absolutely certain that I wanted this one clean and I said yes. The third tile I came to the desk he admitted that OK, you like it 😊 This is like a nuclear ester bomb in your mouth and it activates the little tearducts in the corner of your eyes. The finish is as long as a nuclear winter and even after 1 hour it was still on my palate. Wow, I would like to try this one in a dark and stormy one day 😍

This is the full power....but unfortunately too much of it... in contrast to the HGML this rum can hardly be tamed...(and I'm used to a lot)...even after a long time in the glass... first and foremost you only taste alcohol almost in pure culture. too bad

These Hampdens from Romdeluxe are always real crackers. A lot of ester is recognizable, also lacquer, nail polish, solvents, and rubber. Comes across artificial and alcoholic, but somehow really cool.

Drank directly after RX16511, I find this one at least just as intense. It feels like the rum evaporates in your mouth if you leave it too long 😅. The aged TECC from Velier is much easier to drink than these two. Sure, it also has a lot less % and was allowed to age. Just as a reference for those who know it. I wouldn’t know what else to compare it to. I think if someone inexperienced accidentally drinks rums of this kind, they’d want to rip their tongue out during the finish 🙈. So I like these kinds of rums.

... Hampden, the legendary Jamaican distillery that besides rum also produces alcohol for perfumes. In all rums from this distillery, you can smell wild esters, after which your whole body soaks up the scent of yellow tropical fruits - mango, papaya, pineapple, peach. One of the rums you "must try before you die".

Frankly, I simply expected that my taste buds would be “torched”, when I had my first taste of this rum.. But was I ever in for a surprise… Yes, the alcohol is heavy, but there is a fantastic taste - fruity (fire example pineapple) and actually very delicious.
