13.11.2020 A cosy evening at home with some friends and good rum. Notes Medium dark in colour. Nose Fresh, light wood, funky, dried fryit, light herbal, vanilla, pineapple. Palate Light wood, fruity, banana, light citrus, faint smoke, light medicinal, light earthy, light floral. Finish Long and warm, light wood, light floral, fruits, spice, faint chocolate.

👃 first impression very gourmand, pastry-like and brioche with almond cream, frangipane and baked vanilla. Then lots of tropical fruits, small baby banana, persimmon, starfruit and fresh coconut. Riper notes of guava and papaya. Salty spray for the nose, slight tiger balm. Second nose and end of glass on a veil of nail polish and very distant brine. 88/100 😋 Power! Warm mouth. Alcohol is well integrated despite its notable presence. Peppery melon, allspice on the tongue. Then again these tropical fruits, ripe guava, papaya, starfruit and a bit of candied orange. The wood is more present on the aforementioned spices. A quite pleasant industrial caramel side. 84/100 ⛳ A bit astringent and salty, sticking to the taste buds and palate, slight drying sensation. Warm finish. Vanilla, sharp spices. 79/100 This selection strangely reminds me of a mix between the Clarendon from the bird collection (much better on palate and finish for me) and under the sea "dugong." Slight lack of depth, fruity aromas are well present on nose and palate, but the gourmand aspect is missing on the palate. Warm finish but without a transcendent marker.

A magnificent rum, very fine with a nice alcoholic integration.we are very far from the Jamaican ones which are carried on the glue, the solvents and the too ripe fruits... The aromatic is not so complex but very pleasant, very "cognac". This rum requires a good aeration and especially to come back regularly throughout the evening because its profile is refined with time. The final is very long, which multiplies tenfold the pleasure of the tasting!

À delicious first selection for the Addicts. This is a delicious Long Pond, more accessible I would say than other Long Pond which can have a string pungent funky taste. This one is round and easy to sip despite it's 61.4% Well done to the addicts!

Significantly better than the one with the orange wine cask finish. A delicious nose of ripe mango, cocoa, roasted almonds and other tropical fruits, but also unusually smoky. The palate is spicy and fruity with notes of banana, smoked almonds, olive brine and dried fruit, but the cognac from the cask is also noticeable. It's really tasty up to that point, but the finish is quite bitter, woody and smoky, which is why it loses a few points.
