12.05.2012 Celebrating my friend's 50th birthday and I brought a few rums to try. Notes Medium dark in colour. Nose Light, round, Agricole, fruits, light grass, citrus, light wood. Palate Smooth, light, wood, spice, grass, citrus, dried fruit, faint licorice. Finish Short to medium, light, smooth, wood, dried fruit, faint honey.

Blind tasting. At first, it's very pastry-like and fruity. Then more vegetal notes appear. So I'm beginning to think of an Agricole. Very good alcohol, easy to drink. I can't guess what it is. But it's a very pleasant rum. A nice surprise.

Nice surprise this Damoiseau. A gourmand, fruity rum and quite lively on the palate so as not to get bored, despite its 42°. With a nose more on the fruits and a palate livelier on the spices, indulgence remains the key word and the link between the two. Harmonious, balanced and gourmand. A beautiful tasting for a beautiful bottle.
