Wauw. De neus omg 🤤 Maar gewoonweg op alle fronten top! Whiskey vat invloed pas achteraan op de tong merkbaar met wat metalig-chemische verbintenissen. Niet overheersend en een meerwaarde in een mooie balans. Had de fles al even in mijn collectie en nu een sample. Nu weet ik zeker dat de fles open gaat op een dag! ❤️

Danke zuerst an SaibotZtar für den Mega Plantation Split. Mich hat diese Abfüllung nicht ganz so abgeholt leider. Das Finish mit dem Rye Whisky ist zwar nicht super dominierend aber für einen Whisky Hasser wie mich doch etwas zu viel. Mit Cola als Mixer ging es dann schon. Aber leider trotzallem nicht mein Fall.

Im heutigen Türchen wieder ein gelungener Tropfen.. Bei der Blindverkostung lag ich relativ weit daneben. Zwar hat der Alkoholgehalt den ich schätze gut gepasst. jamaica hätte ich jedoch nie getippt. Wahrscheinlich sinnig komplexe holzaromen. Sehr feiner Geschmack. gefällt mir

A classic Long Pond from Plantation. The nose is rather shy and reserved, the exotic fruits are discreet, as well as the phenolic notes. Some spices and notes of wood, burnt sugar and toffee come to decorate this rather simplistic and summary profile. We have a firm and phenolic side and some tropical fruits, but it is especially the spices and the wood which arrive in the background which are finally the most noticed. There is a slight smoky side that comes in after a bit of aeration, but the rum remains overall very light and lacks intensity and depth. The finish is short, with some bitter notes, cinnamon, chilli, nuts and caramel that accompany the fruits and a light smoky veil.A rather dull rum that loses too much of its potential with dilution. It would have been interesting to have a version with about ten degrees more. The quality / price ratio is moreover rather debatable.

Rhum gourmand ou le finish rye se fait sentir, certains trouveront le finish trop présent(ainsi que le boisé) , mais perso je trouve qu'il apporte une identité unique à se rhum

Habe diesen Rum am Flughafen Schiphol gefunden, praktischerweise gab es für ne Schlanke Mark Probierfläschchen. Bereue es nicht! Lecker tropfen, zwar etwas dünn für meinen Geschmack - gerade bei den Jamaikanern, die den Funk mitbringen, finde ich etwas Wumms angenehmer, nichtsdestrotz ein solider Tropfen, der alles mitbringt was das Etikett vermuten lässt

Nice color, complex nose und a really nice, smooth roasty taste with a long intensive finish. The maturation rye whiskey finish is all over it. Really a very great one!

Recht unspektakulärer Ling Pond leider … und ich meine nicht das Mark. Mich stört hier eher die Verdünnung. Denke es wäre hier mit ein paar mehr Umdrehungen mehr drin gewesen – vor Allem am Gaumen. Zum Beispiel statt dem überflüssigen Finish. Aber dennoch ganz lecker.

Entfaltet sich langsam von einem relativ komplexen trockenen Rum zu einem sehr kräftigen auch mit süßlichen Fruchtnoten leckerem Rum. Die Rye Noten sind sehr präsent aber nicht störend.

Ich habe gar nicht viel erwartet und wurde darum positiv überrascht. Das Finish wirkt gut auf den Rum. Mehr Umdrehungen wären auf jeden Fall toll für mehr Komplexität, wirkt dünn. Gute Frucht, viel Holz und Gewürz gepaart mit etwas Whiskey Noten.

Toujours un très beau nez en ce qui concerne les plantation jamaica.. Cependant le finsih avec le seigle lui confère un boisé trop présent à mon goût.. La seigle prend le pas sur les fruits tropicaux..

Really great thing. Beautiful complexity. Fruits and rum at the start and then the flavor transition to Rye Whisky paired with floral notes. The rye profile is very nicely present. Nice one.
