Sturm Markenimport J.B.S. First Rate Rum
Vanilla, yellow apple and a little honey on the nose, then a flat, oily-sweet palate where the alcohol mostly takes over. This is a vintage Jamaican bottling that tastes nothing like today's high-ester Jamaica — young wood, a touch of allspice, and, as several tasters note, an oddly artificial sweetness. Interesting to try as a curiosity, but most call it drinkable and dull rather than exciting.

Review by Leo Krüper

Not much going on here - a bit vanilla and sweetness. Feels very young and alcohol forward.
